Maison et Objet Starts Soon: Here’s a Helpful Design Guide!


Maison Et Objet 2019 is the major event for professionals working in the art of living in all its rich and varied expressions. The lifestyle show brings together a 360°product offering. Decoration, design, furniture, accessories, textiles, fragrances, the world of children, tableware, among many other relevant areas regarding home furniture will be present. Basel Shows will be taking you on a little tour into what you definitely can’t miss within the event.


This extraordinary diversity found at Maison et Objet is in line with the varied expectations of global markets. With each session, the great lifestyle platform, at the intersection of business and creativity, reveals solutions to visitors from around the world in search of uniqueness. The twice-yearly fair will be held September 6-10th and it will be another opportunity to discover the unexpected and to explore the future of furniture design.

The Conferences and Debates


During Maison Et Objet 2019, you’ll be able to be a part of some amazing conferences and debates. From hospitality to retail, from exceptional designers to advanced solutions for interior design and trend analyses.



With every new edition, Maison Et Objet puts six promising young design talents under the spotlight. Besides that, Maison Et Objet also elects a Designer of the Year. Laura Gonzalez named Maison Et Objet 2019 designer of the Year for Fall.

The 37-year-old designer, who trained at the Paris-Malaquais School of Architecture, has worked on a variety of Parisian shops, private apartments, beautiful hotels, and iconic restaurants. Gonzalez describes her personal style as “classical with a quirky twist.” She enjoys mixing fabrics, materials, and design inspirations to create a special, eclectic blend.
