Baselworld has been displayed some jewelry masterpieces. Today we are going to meet Varina, a new timepiece made by Salvatore Ferragamo.
Varina is inspired by the Vara bow, an iconic symbol of the Florence-based Maison; it is represented in a line for women.
Sophisticated allure and minute, hyper-feminine proportions distinguish this exclusive cocktail watch, with a case reminiscent of the buckle on the famed ballet flat. The iconic gros-grain bow is transformed into an elegant decoration on the glossy patent leather strap, which can be replaced in a couple of simple steps with another strap entirely in gros-grain fabric.
Double use is ensured by the second strap which transforms this watch into a fashion accessory, in which the case is replaced by a metal plate of the same outline and adorned by an engraved logo. The Varina line can therefore be worn on any occasion.
Peach, fuchsia, champagne, indaco and tan are the collection’s featured colourway. Coordinated with the strap in a sophisticated play on colour shades, the oval dial reproduces the gros-grain texture and is embellished with four diamonds at the indices.
In the more luxurious versions, the bezel is studded with diamonds. All orchestrated by the precision of a Swiss Made quartz movement.
