Right now we’re only a few weeks away from the anticipated event Baselworld. Many expectations are on the table right now for this upcoming 2019 edition. Let’s dive into exploring the very best that you can expect from this event this year and what has changed.

First off we have the “Show Plazza” in Hall 1.2, still considered to be the highlight of the main event after all this time. In this area, you can count with up to three live shows per day (making it all in all a total of 15 shows during the whole event). Aside from having a glance at the very best of from the areas of fashion and jewelry, you can see what some international fashion models will be wearing in regards to the upcoming trends of the event, while at the same time glancing upon those very same products through the gigantic LED walls during the shows of Baselworld.

Meanwhile, in Hall 1.0, the event will be welcoming the “Watch Photo Awards”, which is a perfect appeal for those who either love photography or watches (or even both!). (…) Fun fact: this exhibition will be placed just opposite of the Carl F. Bucherer stand.

This will be an exhibition for the sixty best photos from the 2018 edition, while the contest for this year’s edition will still be ongoing until the 31st of March. Contestants can enter their entries in two categories: Architecture (with pictures of the stands of the event) and Watches @ Baselworld (focused on the luxury watches). The winner will receive a voucher for a weekend for two at Basel’s five-star hotel “Les Trois Rois”.

If you’re more into a networking spirit, you absolutely have to come onto the Central Plaza area of Baselworld. Located in Hall 1.0, this is the perfect area for you to just relax and grab a sandwich or a salad while keeping an eye out to some relevant figures that will also be flocking to this area to have a well-deserved pause.
