L&JR was founded by a trio of watchmakers with long experience in this market. This new Swiss watch brand presents new several products with more bold and masculine designs to them.

The brand was founded by three men with a long experience in this market: Philippe Cros, Jorg Hysek Jr., and Lionel Ladoire. Philippe Cros has previously worked for Vacheron Constantin and Piaget, Jorg Hysek Jr. managed sales on this industry, eventually creating another brand (Evo Luxury) with Lionel Ladoire, who has an interesting background in art and jewelry.

These three men joined forces and experience in order to create a new watch brand which is debuting with a collection called “Step 1″. This collection features six watches across two product lines divided between two models: Day-Date and Chronograph.

The three Day-Date models offer a basic design and functionality within a variety of different cases, dials, and strap colors. They all have the retrograde day of the week display, the small seconds sub-dial and a big date display. There is also one domed sapphire crystal over the dial in all three watches.

Then we have three chronograph models in a bi-compax design whose main functions of chronographic are accessed via two round-topped pushers. All of the three models in this category can measure elapsed time to 1/10th of a second. Oh, and they also have that lovely domed sapphire crystal in their dial.

All of “Step 1″‘s watches are water resistant to 50m and are expected to have a lifespan of about 4 years. The three founders have stated that they are interested in developing timepieces with similar concepts powered by mechanical movements.
