Jacques Duchêne, President of the Exhibitors Committee Baselworld, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday night. René Kamm, CEO of the organizer MCH Group, broke the news at the beginning of a press conference this morning.
Duchêne should open the media conference as President of the Exhibitors’ Committee. In the morning, the journalists were found instead of the President. Kamm informed the audience about the death and expressed his sorrow and sympathy for the family. He asked for a moment of silence before he continued the media conference.
Born in France, Duchêne was the Exhibitor Advisory Board since 1996. He was 82 years old.
