Art Basel Miami 2018 is almost here! There will be a lot to see from the 6th to the 9th of December. We’ve gathered a list of five exhibitions you can’t miss at this year’s edition.
Design Miami
This exhibition is located just adjacent to the Art Basel’s convention center. It will be a place where several collectible pieces of furniture from all over the globe. We also highlight Curio, which is Design Miami’s newest exhibition platform. This part of the event invites designers, curators, and gallerists to present and exhibit pieces of historic and contemporary design.
Plus, Design Miami will be beside an exhibition by this year’s winners of the Visionary Award: Pedro Reyes and Carla Fernández.

The (RED) Auction
This exhibition is at its third edition and its notable for presenting several pieces of design and furniture with light and red themes. This year there will be an auction of design parts by artist Theaster Gates and architect David Adjaye with the goal of raising money to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS and the Rebuild Foundation.
As a matter of fact, there are several pieces for sale, such as a ring by Jonathan Ive and Marc Newson made entirely of diamond and some limited-edition furniture designed by Adjaye and Zaha Hadid Design.
Casacor Miami
Founded in Brazil and currently, in its second edition, Casacor Miami will feature works by 30 designers. This including furniture as well as decorated rooms.

The event will also be the host of the show “In Good Company”, by Hannah Martin and Fernando Mastrangelo, which started as a group exhibition to promote design and became a hit that will come back this year.
The Haas Brothers, “Ferngully”
The duo known as The Haas Brothers will be opening an exhibition at The Bass, Miami Beach’s art museum which was recently renovated. This exposition is one that will show the connection between an artist and the natural environment.
Inspired by the 1992 animated film “Ferngully”, this exhibition will introduce visitors to a “utopic setting” composed by ceramics, beadwork, velvet and other blown-glass elements, turning the space of the exposition into something like a forest.
Art Basel Miami Beach
Last but not least, Art Basel Miami Beach will reunite over 250 contemporary art galleries in one spot. Over 4,000 artists will have their artworks for sale in several categories such as sculpture, installation, painting, digital art, photography, video, among many others.
