Must Visit Design Miami Galleries 2018 – Design Miami/ is almost around the corner. This edition of this event is occurring between the 5th and the 9th of December, near the Miami Beach Convention Center, alongside with the Art Basel fairs. Design Miami/ will feature thirty-four exhibitions and eleven Curio presentations that are representing people that come from all around the world and are focused on the discovery of historic and industrial materials and processes that were already considered lost. Here are our top-four galleries that you should see.
This famous gallery that has spaces in London, New York, Paris, and San Francisco, shows a variety of works from both established and international rising artists that want to combine both functional and non-traditional sculptures into their works since they are guided by emotional, artistic and historical relevance.
This brand-new gallery established by Benoit Wolfrom and Javier Peres in Berlin focuses on showing young designers to an international audience that push the line between aesthetic and purpose, form and function, perception and intent.
This Italian gallery promotes the work of jewelry artists that choose to use contemporary materials and forms to make traditional jewelry that often has ancient practices, which is something that we’re not used to seeing.
With four spaces in Chelsea, New York, Kasmin was founded in 1989 and already has some experience of showing its work in major art fairs worldwide. However, this gallery will be in Design Miami/ to show its work that puts postwar figures and modernists in meaningful dialogue with contemporary artists.
