Harry Winston is an undeniable master of Swiss watches and high class jewellery. The company was founded in New York by the jeweler Harry Winston and first opened its doors in 193. He was being chosen by the royal families and the Hollywood celebrities, and in the same time was the first to influence the red carpet fashion. The company was dressing Jennifer Jones in his signature diamonds and became famous among the stars. We all remember Marilyn Monroe’s song “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” sung in the “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” in 1953, with a well-known line “Talk to me Harry Winston, tell me all about it !” don’t we?  Moreover, the company owns the largest flawless vivid blue diamond named “The Winston Blue” bought from an anonymous person for 23.8 million US Dollars. It was described by Jean-Marc Lunel with the following words : “It is absolutely perfect, absolutely pure externally and internally. It is almost a dream.”

The attention is immediately focused on the dial of this magnificent watch. It looks like a piece of natural wood and the most surprising thing is that it is actually made up of bird feathers! Each feather is carefully selected, shaped and placed under a magnifying glass.

Viewable  through the sapphire caseback is the HW2008 mechanical movement with automatic winding.  It has a skeletonised Harry Winston rotor and the rest of the movement is finished with Côtes de Genève and beveled bridges.

The slim case is 18k Rose Gold and is 42mm in size.  It features the House’s timeless design, three arches, a tribute to the iconic gates of Harry Winston’s Fifth Avenue salon.
