Swiss Interior Designers have also managed to conquer a lot of space in regards to the value of their quality worldwide. In order to pay a little tribute to these amazing talents, we’ve decided to launch an article mentioning some of the best names within this country. This is Part 1 of our article in which we will be introducing 5 names per article. So sit back, relax, and get to know a couple of top names among Swiss designers.
Fries&Zumbühl
This company was created by Kevin Fries and Jakob Zumbühl in 2016. Having been partners since 2003, both these men execute incredible development and design projects making sure to combine their distinct ways of thinking and distinct design backgrounds. This company is also known for creating new objects with their own identities while at the same time making sure that they are meeting both the functional and sculptural demands of the user.
Bureau
Bureau is the association of Leopold Banchini and Daniel Zamarbide, founded in 2012. This is a studio that aims to blur the boundaries of architectural research through its evocative and socially critical designs, while at the same time being a multidisciplinary platform. As one of their top highlights, we can point to the fact that this amazing firm won the Architecture award at the Swiss Art Awards 2013 for their design ‘Parole’. It essentially consisted of a sculptural cage based on the design of the Champ-Dollon prison in Geneva.

Dôme Interior Design
Dôme Interior Design consists of an amazing luxury interior architecture and design studio based in Geneva and London. Their main projects consist on private residences, chalets or business buildings, sharing projects from Europe to the United States of America, always with the focus of expanding this luxury definition all throughout the spaces they take on. This is an interior design company that focuses their full attention on all the small details and make sure to have a commitment with the client! Herzog & de Meuron
Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron created their company, in Basel in 1978. Since then they have managed to obtain several projects worldwide, mainly in Europe, America and Asia. It’s also worth mentioning the fact that they are a very well known company, currently established as one of the most prestigious Swiss interior designers in the world, having tackled both large and small-scale urban designs, such as museums and stadiums.

POUR LES ALPES
POUR LES ALPES is a company founded in 2007 by designers Tina Stieger and Annina Gähwiler. It’s currently based in Zurich, specializing on artisanal design projects focused on both traditional techniques and unique knowledge as well as on collaborations with craftspeople inspired by that very same heritage. POUR LES ALPES has the capacity to create objects, which combine traditional crafts with contemporary design giving birth to more than one new perspective. In all of their work, they use high quality, sustainable and regional materials, among them being Swiss pine wood.
