Cheval Blanc

Cheval Blanc has 2 Michelin stars. Peter Knogl is the chef of the restaurant and have a journey of sun-kissed shapes and shades, tempting you with Mediterranean haute cuisine. The extensive wine list with over 800 positions holds an attractive selection of rare vintages and a large selection of wines from the Château Cheval Blanc, from where the restaurant gets its name.

Peter Knogl was “Chef of the Year 2011”  at the Cheval Blanc restaurant at the Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois in Basel.  The award marks the highpoint in a career which has already seen the gourmet chef win several distinctions. The Chef has already won several awards in recent years for his outstanding Mediterranean cuisine. In December 2007, after only seven months at the Cheval Blanc, he won a Michelin star. A year later he was named “Newcomer of the Year 2009”, garnered 18 points from the Gault Millau Swiss restaurant guide and won a second Michelin star.

 

Bel Etage

The gourmet restaurant Bel Etage on the 1st floor of the Art Hotel has the intimate character of a salon and is devoted to self-indulgence. The four interconnecting rooms can accommodate up to 80 people. All rooms can also be closed off individually for use by smaller groups of up to 24 people.

The daily changing offer includes à la carte dishes and different sizes of menu. A business lunch is offered at lunchtime. Each course is offered with an accompanying wine by the glass or a wine set combined with the menu. In good weather, the Restaurant Bel Etage moves under the protective sun sail in the garden of the Gallery Hotel. The Bel Etage fine dining restaurant is open every day except Saturday for lunch as well as on Sunday and Monday and  is open throughout the day during trade fairs.

The Brasserie
